A Study on the Nature of Nursing Ethics -Focusing on the Relationship between Nurses and Doctors
Kim Sang-Deuk

Abstract
While nurses confront a wide variety of ethical issues, the core ethical issues for nurses relate to the relationship between nurses and doctors. These issues may be divided into two groups: those that relate to nurses¡¯ ethical judgments and those that arise when nurses do not agree with the medical judgments of attending physicians. This article discusses both of these groups of issues separately. I argue that that the autonomy of nurses should be ensured for nursing ethics to come into existence as a unique form of professional ethics.
